At Integrity Centre, we focus on a holistic, whole body approach. We don’t just focus on the symptoms you are experiencing; we aim to get to the root cause of the issue. Sports and remedial massage (also known as soft tissue therapy) is an excellent way to do this.
Our highly skilled therapists have a wealth of knowledge in bodily anatomy, injuries, and treatment techniques. They are qualified to assess, diagnose, and provide remedial techniques to support your personal recovery – sports related or not!
Whether you’re an office worker, a professional athlete, or you just want a relaxing massage, our therapists can help you.
What is a Sports and Remedial Massage?
Sports and Remedial Massage is a style of specialised massage techniques for the treatment of the soft tissues of our bodies, including our muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Used to target the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, it is a safe and effective massage treatment which can benefit anyone — people of all ages and conditions.
Sports and Remedial Massage works by targeting specific muscles, softening the hardened tissue to restore movement, ease tightness and restriction, mobility, and reduce pain.
How can a Sports & Remedial Massage help me?
Sports and remedial massage can be helpful for professional athletes, amateur athletes, and non-athletes by helping to speed up the recovery time of injuries, preventing minor injuries from becoming worse, and even identifying problems you were previously unaware of.
Sports and remedial massage can also help with:
– sports injuries
– muscle aches, pains, and strains

Physiologically, it promotes and encourages circulation which is crucial for the building of new muscle tissue. And, psychologically, it helps to support our overall wellbeing by reducing stress, anxiety, and tension so that we can live a more fulfilled life.
Other benefits include:

A typical session
A typical sports and remedial massage session will begin with a thorough assessment – going through your past history of injuries, assessing your posture, and assessing your current range of movement to get a better understanding of what is causing your issues.
Once our therapists are able to diagnose the source of your pain or injury, massage techniques are used to rehabilitate. Treatment is then done on the massage table and lasts 60 minutes.
